Viettel strives to conquer the most difficult certification for Data Center
Recently, Vietnam Asset Management Company (VAM) cooperated with Network Corporation to organize a workshop on Testing & Commissioning of Data Centers according to Uptime standards.
The workshop was attended by experts from Blue Bulb Engineering (BBE) - a company specializing in Testing & Commissioning (T&C) for Hyperscale Data Centers of Microsoft, NVIDIA, AWS, YTL... in Asia. The program gathered the Group 's key technical staff in the field of data centers, including representatives of the Technical Department of the Corporation, the Solutions Corporation (VTS), and Viettel IDC.
Testing & Commissioning (T&C) 5 level is the mandatory testing and commissioning standard of Uptime Institute during the construction, construction and installation of Data Centers that require TCCF (Tier Certification of Constructed Facility) construction certification. The testing and commissioning process includes 5 levels with many testing and inspection requirements from individual materials and equipment to each technical system and the entire project; from the factory to the final installation... This process is implemented with many different scenarios to test the operational efficiency of Data Centers under changing operating conditions.
TCCF is a certificate issued once by Uptime Institute, valid forever for Data Centers with standard designs and have been granted TCDD (Tier Certification of Design Document) Design Certificate. TCCF shows the actual level of compliance of Data Centers compared to the design and other requirements, directly inspected and verified by Uptime Institute experts at the construction site. Up to this point, Viettel has not had any machine rooms granted Uptime Tier III TCCF certificate. The task assigned by the Board of Directors of the Group to VAM and VTNet for 4 Data Center projects under implementation including TT01 and Tan Phu Trung - Ho Chi Minh City, An Khanh - Hanoi and Hoa Khanh 2 - Da Nang is to be granted this certificate.
To prepare for the assigned tasks, VAM has worked closely with the Group 's Technical Department, VTNet and consulting units right from the technical concept design and construction steps, together holding workshops, researching, unifying the direction, technology, standards and design for each technical item of the Data Centers being deployed. The recent Uptime T&C 5 levels workshop was the final preparation before starting to build detailed designs for Viettel 's new Data Centers. The workshop helped Viettel 's technical staff better understand the sequence, process and tasks to be done to prepare for T&C work with Data Centers according to Uptime standards. BBE experts also helped clarify technical issues, resolve problems and make important recommendations for the process of deploying and building Viettel DCs.
The workshop showed that VAM is always ready to accept tasks and always closely coordinates with the Group 's agencies and units to explore, learn and research to complete assigned tasks with the highest quality.
